George Travers
Chief Financial Officer, Apollo Global Management’s credit business

Biography
George is the Chief Financial Officer for Apollo Global Management’s credit business. In this role, he oversees the finance functions as related to credit globally. George chairs the Credit Valuation Committee and is co-chair of the Apollo Expense Allocation Committee and the Enterprise Solutions Women’s Empowerment Network. From 2007 to 2014, George was the global Fund Controller for direct hedge funds and mutual funds at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. From 2005 to 2007, he was the Chief Financial Officer for Dillon Read Capital Management. From 1990 to 2005, George was at Deloitte, serving as partner from 2000 to 2005 in the capital markets practice. He is a chartered financial analyst, certified public accountant, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York Society of CPAs. George graduated with high honors from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Accounting and received his MBA in Finance summa cum laude from Columbia University. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and four children.
