Biography

Ves is a San Francisco-based audit partner in the Ernst & Young LLP Financial Services Wealth & Asset Management practice. In his 16 years with Ernst & Young LLP in San Francisco, he has had the privilege to serve private equity, venture capital, real estate, fund of funds and family office clients ranging from $100 million to $100 billion-plus of assets under management. 

Ves focuses on the valuation of early- and late-stage debt and equity investments, the complexity of cryptocurrencies, and the NAV practical expedient considerations for US GAAP and IFRS reporting. He is well versed in the application of accounting and audit rules pursuant to the AICPA Accounting and Audit Guide for Investment Companies and has worked closely with management teams to address the various business issues unique to the investment company model.  

Ves earned his BS in Accounting with a minor in Mathematics from Ithaca College in New York. He is a licensed CPA in the state of California. 

Ves is an avid recruiter. During his career, he has recruited at his alma mater (go Bombers!), University of California, Berkeley (go Bears!), University of California, Santa Barbara (go Gauchos!), Boise State University (go Broncos!) and University of Idaho (go Vandals!).
